| Biographical data for Martha Framsted |
|
Martha Framsted has been the public information officer for the Nevada State Health Division for over five years. Her position with the Health Division was created in order to handle the challenging childhood leukemia cluster investigation in a small, rural community in Nevada. Prior to that, the Health Division did not have a public information officer. Martha left a ten year elementary teaching career to join the Health Division. Before becoming a teacher, she was employed at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe Resort and Casino, working her way up the corporate ladder, eventually becoming the Special Events Manager, planning and organizing all of the high-roller events. Martha received her B.A. in Communication Arts from Oakland University, in Michigan. When not working, Martha enjoys riding and showing her Arabian horses, playing with her dogs, and of course, spending as much time as possible with her hairstylist husband Bill.
